Indeed, it truly does. I heard that line from the movie "For the First Time" which starred Richard Gutierrez and KC Concepcion.
Before, my worst enemy was a broom, the dust pan, and dust. But now, every Saturday, i'll clean our whole house and even mop the whole flooring.
I never had the ability to keep secrets. Even the ones people told me. I know, irritating. Now, I keep my mouth shut about the things people say to me and only spread things about myself that I know won't hurt people.
I now am, and I'm proud to say very industrious. I never imagined myself saying that. And to the whole world even.
I learned to persevere and think of myself and my happiness for once. I learned that you would be the one gravely disappointed if you always avoid disappointing people.
My perennial problem statement is, "I always get what I want." Being an only child, it has never been a problem for me. But now I realized that we can't always have what we want immediately, not until the right time.
I now know how to value the people close to me and appreciate even the small things they do for me.
I can now reflect and say that I'm fully contented.
So, thank you. :) JAS for making me learn and realize all these things. :)
